Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic

Well Hellloooo to everybody!!

It's Tallships Lunenburg and the town is buzzing with excitement. On the wharf here next to the ship are all kinds of games and activities for the kids. Face painting, games of skill and chance, and craft and activity centres. AQt the museum there is a show stage with music, magic and education. We had over 1700 people on the ship yesterday and expect a large crowd today as well. I'd have to say it is a rousing success.

I would like to take a minute to thank all the volunteers we have met during the festivals. It's amazing to see how people will help their communities for no other reward other than a nod and smile. Here in Lunenburg, the board of trade, town and fisheries museum are big sponsors of the event. I would also like to note that Adams and Knickle have made their wharves available to Picton Castle, Virginia, Harvey Gamage, and Spirit of Massachusetts as of late. It does the town good to have some ships based nearer to the museum when their docks are full.

Tomorrow is a paint and varnish day for us which obviously means it is going to rain. On Saturday we continue our study of the Ovens and our public tour schedule. You can book tickets online or call Marlene at the museum!

That's all for now,

Best regards,

Phil Watson
